In 2005 MoLAS have produced two new popular booklets. In the spring we published a short booklet on Merton Priory which updates an earlier popular book of the same name and also serves as a taster for our in prep monograph about the project. In addition to the academic monographs produced for English Heritage, we have also produced a popular booklet on the initial findings from the ALSF-funded work on the East London gravels: From Ice Age to Essex: a history of the people and landscape of East London. Other popular titles are in the pipeline.
We have also produced two monograph-type pieces of work for external projects – Archaeology of the Jubilee Line extension: prehistoric and Roman activity at Stratford Market Depot, West Ham, London, 1991–3 for Oxford Archaeology and Requiem: the medieval monastic cemetery in Britain for the University of Reading, reported on elsewhere in this Annual Review.
