The scale of the urban regeneration required in east London requires a unique commitment. The collaborative venture involving two of Britain’s largest archaeological organisations is aimed at providing our clients with unparalleled knowledge as well as professional surety. Together, MoLAS-PCA can provide c 300 staff, including project managers, professional surveyors, architectural historians, photographers, editors, designers, computer graphics specialists and archaeologists. MoLAS and PCA are both Registered Archaeological Organisations with the Institute of Field Archaeologists.

The Museum of London Archaeology Service, (MoLAS) has carried out c.c. 120 projects in the four boroughs since 1997, ranging from desk studies and planning consultancy to excavations and historic building surveys. It is currently undertaking a major landscape assessment for Thames Estuary Partnerships on urban regeneration in the boroughs bordering the Thames Estuary, and a deposit modelling project on the Lea Valley gravels in association with the British Geological Survey and English Heritage.

Pre-Construct Archaeology (PCA) has provided a complete range of archaeological services on c.c. 130 developments in the key boroughs of Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets since 1995 - on housing projects, road and infrastructure schemes, schools and hotels. PCA has recently undertaken an extensive study of the archaeological and built heritage resources of the Lower Lea Valley on behalf of the London Borough of Newham. PCA’s senior management include key staff from the former archaeological service of Newham Council.
